How it works
Choose your jyotiṣī
Read what each of them works on, and pick the one whose work fits your question. If your question sits outside their practice, they will say so and point you to whoever handles it.
Book a consultation
Pick a time that suits you. Send your birth details and your questions beforehand, so none of the session is spent gathering them.
Meet face to face
Thirty or sixty minutes on video, reading your chart with you. You will be asked before the call whether you want it recorded.
About Pandit Sanjay Rath
Pandit Sanjay Rath belongs to a traditional family of astrologers from Bira Balabhadrapur Sasan village of Puri, Orissa, which trace their lineage back to Shri Achyuta Das (Sri Achyutananda).
Sanjay studied under his uncle, late Pandit Kasinath Rath. His grandfather, the late Pandit Jagannath Rath, was the Jyotish Ratna of Orissa and authored many books on Jyotish.
He began his studies at a tender age, and received the depth of Jyotish only found among those who have been trained in the ancient traditional way of the parampara.
He later became a graduate of mechanical engineering and worked for some time with the Government of India. Leaving government service to devote himself completely to Jyotisha, he has the depth of the ancient knowledge with the ability to communicate it to the modern mind.
About Sarbani Rath
Born on the Thirtieth day of June 1962 in Calcutta, India at seventeen minutes past midnight, to very pious parents Ashoke Kumar Sarkar and Aloka, who were the third generation in the Sarkar family directly associating with the Ramakrishna order. Sarbani had the good fortune of associating with the saṅnyāsins of the Śrī Sāradā Math from birth. When only four years old she learnt how to make the Śiva Liñga with mud from the banks of the Gaṅgā and worship with sixteen offerings (ṣoḍaśa upacāra), mantra and mudra. The grace of Holy Mother Śrī Sāradā Ma flowed as she learnt Sanskrit and vedic literature including purāṇa and various spiritual practises directly from the Math.

What is Rathātreya?
Rathātreya consultations are given by students of Pandit Sanjay Rath — an astrologer of the Puri tradition, from the family of astrologers of Bira Balabhadrapur Sasan, which traces its Jyotiṣa to Śrī Acyutānanda Dāsa, one of the Pañca Sakhā.
We are paid for the hour and for nothing else — no stones, no remedies, no commission on either.
Why we ask for the minute
A chart read from the wrong minute belongs to somebody else. Hospitals round to the nearest quarter hour. Families remember “just before the evening lamp”. Fifteen minutes can move your ascendant into the next sign, and with it the house of every planet you have.
So we check first. If the time will not hold up, we say so before we take the booking.
